Role overview

UniSC’s Student Business Services team is seeking an Administration Officer to support curriculum data and timetabling activities at the Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs campus. In this fixed-term position, you will work with the Timetabling and Curriculum Data team to keep curriculum, program and course records accurate in PeopleSoft and associated systems, assist with the creation and upkeep of student-focused class timetables across multiple campuses, and provide data, reporting and operational guidance that helps improve enrolment processes, progression and use of teaching spaces.

Key duties

  • Support the upkeep of curriculum, program, course and class information in PeopleSoft and the university’s timetabling platforms.
  • Help design, implement and maintain class timetables and room allocations that meet student and teaching needs across UniSC campuses.
  • Produce data sets, reports and recommendations that assist with enrolment planning, curriculum adjustments, student progression and ongoing improvement work.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with data, systems and administrative processes. You should be able to manage competing demands, communicate well with different stakeholders and contribute to accurate, service-focused outcomes.

Selection criteria

  • A degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education, training and proven experience in a tertiary education or student administration setting.
  • Hands-on experience using student information systems, databases or other complex business systems, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving ability, including the capacity to assess issues, develop solutions and respond effectively in a changing environment.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality client service while balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Office and experience maintaining and reporting from databases and management systems.

Employment details

  • Location: Student Services, UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs, Queensland, Australia.
  • Classification and pay: Level 5, $82,843 to $93,358 per year, plus employer superannuation of up to 17%.
  • Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week.
  • Engagement: Fixed-term appointment until May 2027.
