Job description

Position Overview

The Department of Education Leadership, Management and Policy in the College of Human Development, Culture and Media at Seton Hall University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach graduate courses focused on K-12 education leadership. Candidates should be dedicated to student success, excellence in teaching, and uphold values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and collaboration. Courses involve both hybrid and fully online delivery including in-person weekend sessions and asynchronous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct one to two graduate-level courses each semester within K-12 education leadership programs.
  • Deliver courses in hybrid formats combining on-campus weekend meetings and synchronous/asynchronous online components, as well as fully online formats throughout the academic terms.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency and teaching capability in K-12 education leadership topics such as law, policy, finance, technology, curriculum, leadership theories, organizational theory, and research methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods).
  • Demonstrable commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Doctorate degree in K-12 education leadership or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of teaching experience at the college level.
  • Proven record of teaching effectiveness and leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems like Blackboard and Canvas.

Compensation and Benefits

The minimum remuneration is $1200 per credit for candidates without a terminal degree and $1300 per credit for those possessing one. The position is exempt and includes eligibility for employee benefits and supplemental retirement plans offered by Seton Hall University.
