Job description
About the Company
Chase Properties is a Cleveland-based family office and real estate investment company that acquires, manages, and operates existing retail, industrial, and multifamily assets across the Midwest, Southeast, and Texas. The firm brings more than 50 years of experience, oversees over $1 billion in assets under management, and owns properties in 20+ states.
Role Summary
The team is looking for an Acquisitions Analyst focused on industrial and multifamily investments. The role is centered on sourcing opportunities, underwriting deals, supporting due diligence, and helping with asset management activities for the company’s industrial and multifamily portfolios.
Investment Focus
- The firm targets opportunities with solid existing cash flow and meaningful upside potential.
- Industrial acquisitions typically fall in the $2 million to $50 million purchase-price range and should involve well-located assets, long-term leases with annual rent increases, and creditworthy tenants.
- Multifamily investments are generally suburban garden-style or build-for-rent properties that can produce strong current yield along with attractive growth prospects.
Responsibilities
- Support the Multifamily and Industrial Directors in finding off-market acquisition opportunities in target markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, principals, and investment sales brokers while tracking the acquisition pipeline.
- Review incoming opportunities and screen deals against the company’s investment criteria.
- Analyze industrial and multifamily acquisitions and development opportunities in detail.
- Create financial models, assess cash flows, and apply valuation techniques using Excel and Argus.
- Help coordinate due diligence, including third-party reports and entitlement-related work.
- Maintain regional deal pipeline reports and monitor critical deadlines.
- Contribute to asset management activities such as market research, leasing support, and property sales.
- Evaluate tenant credit and property-level financials to test lease feasibility.
- Conduct hold/sell analysis to support portfolio performance decisions.
- Prepare operating information for dispositions.
- Assist with annual operating reporting for the industrial and multifamily portfolios.
- Work closely with Operations, Capital Markets, Due Diligence, Accounting, Construction, Portfolio, and Leasing teams.
- Participate across the acquisition lifecycle, including model maintenance, investment committee materials, expense and capital analysis, comparable data gathering, market research, and debt and leasing assumption inputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in real estate, business, finance, economics, or a similar discipline.
- Previous business experience with a real estate investment firm or comparable organization.
- Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Argus Enterprise experience is preferred.
- Comfort working with complex financial models, including waterfall analysis.
- Very detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to manage assignments proactively and deliver in a high-volume setting.
- Strong motivation to produce high-quality work.
- Excellent organization and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and alignment to the company’s core values: positive attitude, solution-oriented thinking, accountability, disciplined decision-making, and open communication.
Work Location and Other Details
This position is fully in-person at the Beachwood, Ohio office. Some travel may be needed to visit prospective acquisition properties.
