Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the accounts receivable process, including the accurate posting of customer receipts, account matching, and support for strong cash collection results.
• Use NetSuite to manage AR activities and maintain accurate customer account records.
• Support month-end closing tasks by preparing AR reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Work with commercial colleagues to address billing concerns and improve debtor management practices.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with customers to quickly resolve invoicing and payment issues.
• Create and update customer records in NetSuite.
• Coordinate with the Credit Manager on credit limits, payment terms, and overdue invoices.
• Prepare and issue credit notes where needed.
• Assist with audits by supplying supporting documents and explanations.
• Contribute to wider finance work and support ad hoc accounting initiatives when required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a comparable finance position.
• Solid working knowledge of AR workflows, reconciliations, and month-end finance processes.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong personal organisation.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting software, along with advanced Excel capability.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and with external customers.
• A finance or accounting qualification is preferred; candidates who are part-qualified or qualified through experience will also be considered.
• Self-driven approach with strong problem-solving ability and a mindset for ongoing improvement.
