Role Overview
The Accounts Receivable Accountant will oversee customer receivables, keep track of unpaid invoices, and help ensure payments are collected within the expected timeline. This position also contributes to reliable financial reporting by keeping receivable records current and handling invoice or billing concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and send customer invoices correctly and within the required timeframe.
- Track receivable balances and consistently follow up on overdue amounts.
- Match customer accounts and investigate any mismatches or errors.
- Post incoming payments and apply them correctly in the accounting system.
- Prepare aging summaries and support collection follow-up efforts.
- Work with internal teams and customers to address billing-related questions.
- Support month-end closing tasks and account reconciliation activities.
- Keep financial records accurate and aligned with company procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a comparable accounting position.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong accuracy, analytical ability, and communication skills.
