Key Responsibilities
The specialist will handle both payables and receivables work for project-based operations. This includes invoice processing, customer billing, collections follow-up, and support for close activities.
- Review vendor bills, confirm they are accurate, and make sure payments are issued on time.
- Create and send invoices to customers for services and completed projects.
- Track outstanding receivables and contact homeowners regarding overdue balances.
- Support month-end closing tasks such as reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Work with vendors, suppliers, and customers to clear up billing issues and discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should bring several years of experience in AP, AR, or broader accounting work, along with proficiency in common accounting systems and a high level of precision.
- 2–5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Strong accuracy and careful attention to financial recordkeeping.
- Clear communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teammates.
Preferred Background
Experience in construction, roofing, or home services would be advantageous, though it is not mandatory.
