Role overview

VetPartners is hiring an Accounts Payable Officer to support its finance operations across Australia and New Zealand. This position is based in Ormeau, QLD or Macquarie Park, NSW and suits someone who enjoys a busy, high-volume setting and can work effectively across a multi-entity business.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will handle the full accounts payable process, working with suppliers, internal teams, and finance colleagues to keep invoices, payments, reconciliations, and queries moving accurately and on time.

What the role involves

  • Set up new vendors and keep supplier master records accurate and up to date.
  • Check invoices and credit card reconciliations in SAP Concur.
  • Process employee expense claims and review them for accuracy.
  • Prepare and run weekly payment batches, including self-checks and quality reviews.
  • Handle AP enquiries through the internal ticketing platform while meeting service standards.
  • Investigate and fix mapping issues in SAP Concur.
  • Complete monthly supplier reconciliations for key vendors.
  • Assist the Financial Control team with month-end tasks.
  • Process GST, dividend payments, and other ad hoc disbursements.
  • Review overdue AP items and work through them to resolution.
  • Create journal entries to clear AP-related banking transactions.
  • Take on rotating accounts payable duties as needed.
