Job description
Role overview
An SME financial services firm in the investment management space is looking for an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Accountant to join the team in Dublin. The business has a headcount of about 70 people and the position reports to the Financial Controller.
This opportunity also includes involvement in process improvement and a move to a new finance system, Sage Intacct. The successful person will bring prior experience to help refine ways of working and support the implementation project.
Key responsibilities
- Handle payment runs from review through to processing.
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep payment activity running smoothly.
- Support reconciliations for credit cards and debit cards.
- Oversee employee expenses and check that claims follow policy and approval rules.
- Assist with client invoicing and gradually take fuller ownership of debtor management.
- Track overdue receivables and follow up on collections.
- Manage the shared accounts mailbox and deal with supplier and internal queries promptly.
- Help maintain accrual and payable balances so the accounts remain accurate.
- Contribute to finance projects, including the new system rollout.
- Support audits for group entities.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reviews of corporate financials for regulated boards.
- Look for ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Compensation
The salary offered is between €50,000 and €58,000, plus bonus.
