Role Overview: Accounts Officer
The Accounts Officer will play a key role in managing financial operations related to warehouse and distribution center transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct precise bank reconciliations and address discrepancies involving warehouse and distribution center transactions.
- Process invoices and financial transactions within SAP, ensuring their consistency with purchase orders and goods receipt notes.
- Monitor pending payments and warehouse-level outstanding balances, coordinating with internal departments and external vendors.
- Facilitate intersegment clearing entries in SAP while maintaining detailed records.
- Oversee warehouse dispatch data and record daily operational expenses using SAP and Excel tools.
- Manage petty cash operations and perform fund transfers only with the required authorizations and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GST TDS requirements by deducting, depositing, reconciling, and accurately reporting TDS in GSTR-7 filings.
- Maintain financial records in audit-ready condition and assist with statutory and internal audits.
- Prepare management information system (MIS) reports related to expenses, payments, and reconciliations, offering insights for managerial decisions.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting roles.
- Educational qualification: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in any specialization.
- Strong practical knowledge of SAP software, GST regulations, and overall financial accounting procedures.
- Preferred maximum age: 28 years.
Work Location & Reporting
The position is based in Zirakpur, Mohali, with a reporting line to the Area Manager Accounts.
