Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Officer (Banking)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Officer to join a banking institution in Singapore. The role involves preparing comprehensive financial and regulatory reports, managing daily accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and prepare financial statements, management accounting reports, and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory filings.
• Oversee tax-related matters including Goods and Services Tax (GST), corporate tax, and transfer pricing issues.
• Manage routine accounting tasks as well as month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and internal control policies.
• Lead initiatives for process enhancements and contribute to various related projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance sectors.
• Proficient business communication abilities in both Japanese and English languages.
• Advanced numerical aptitude and strong analytical capabilities, including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Background in banking or financial services, with experience in MAS regulatory reporting and financial closing processes.
• Tax expertise is considered a favorable asset.

Additional Information

• Employment pass or visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
• Monthly salary can reach up to SGD 9,000, dependent on candidate experience, skills, and current remuneration.
• Additional variable bonuses are offered as part of the compensation package.
