Senior Accountant

Job Overview

Unilabs Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Dubai. This role is responsible for comprehensive financial management including closing activities, report preparation, treasury oversight, payroll compliance, tax filings, audit support, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct month-end and year-end financial closing tasks such as journal entries and reconciliations, culminating in accurate financial statements.
• Develop monthly management information system (MIS) reports, forecasts, budgets, and perform variance analyses to support managerial decision-making.
• Manage treasury functions including cash flow monitoring, bank account reconciliations, and payment processing operations.
• Administer monthly payroll, leave salary settlements, and end-of-service benefit calculations in adherence to UAE labor laws and regulations.
• Ensure compliance by preparing VAT and Corporate Tax returns accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with external auditors and uphold robust internal control frameworks.
• Contribute to enhancements of the ERP system and drive finance process automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional qualifications such as CA Intermediate, ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent credentials are highly desirable.
• Candidates should bring between 5 to 8 years of accounting experience, with preference given to those having local UAE market exposure.

Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), UAE VAT regulations, and Corporate Tax norms.
• Proficient in treasury functions, payroll administration, and MIS report generation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho.
• Strong analytical aptitude, effective communication abilities, and solid problem-solving capabilities.
