Role overview

We are looking for a remote Accounting & Audit Office Specialist on a contract basis to support analysis of financial and audit-related information. The work involves reviewing accounting records, audit workflows, and office documentation to help improve accuracy, consistency, and AI training quality.

The engagement calls for 10 to 40 hours per week and is based in Canada, with the work performed fully remotely.

What you'll do

  • Examine accounting datasets, audit procedures, and supporting financial records to verify correctness and compliance for AI training use.
  • Study detailed financial reports, statements, and office processes and turn them into practical observations and improvement ideas.
  • Work with tools such as Access, Visio, Power BI, and MS Project to map, present, and explain complex accounting and audit situations.
  • Provide clear written and spoken feedback on data quality, financial operations, and office scenarios to strengthen AI learning outcomes.
  • Partner remotely with people from different functions to validate financial information, align on audit standards, and help build strong training content.
  • Spot missing information or workflow issues and suggest fixes that improve understanding of accounting and audit concepts for both people and AI systems.

What we're looking for

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and audit office operations, backed by hands-on experience.
  • Prior exposure to Access, Visio, Power BI, and MS Project is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in both writing and speaking, along with strong precision and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to break down, document, and explain complex accounting and audit processes clearly.
  • Strong planning and organization skills to handle multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and giving useful, action-oriented feedback.
