Job description

Role overview

Join a global Fortune 500 organization and contribute to a finance team that supports accuracy, control, and reporting across multiple legal entities. This role reports to the GAC SG ACR Tower Assistant Manager and focuses on maintaining reliable financial statements, supporting statutory compliance, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Work with external auditors and outside consultants to complete annual statutory audit activities.
  • Prepare audit support files, account reconciliations, annual financial statements, and statutory reports under both US GAAP and local statutory rules.
  • Answer stakeholder questions by explaining results in line with local GAAP and coordinating with relevant teams.
  • Compile the Statutory Accounting and Reporting (STAR) package and complete the required checklist.
  • Prepare local GAAP journal entries needed to convert US GAAP reporting into local GAAP while keeping records accurate, supported, and properly reported.
  • Investigate findings from statutory, internal, SOX, or self-audits, determine the underlying cause, and drive corrective actions through to completion.
  • Handle monthly close tasks, including balance sheet risk review reports and variance analysis tied to operating results and business-unit discussions.
  • Act as a business partner for assigned entities and help run monthly pre-close and post-close calls.
  • Produce timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations to strengthen internal controls and reduce balance sheet risk.
  • Track reconciliation issues, follow up on concerns, create corrective action plans when needed, and help keep accounts in good standing.
  • Support process enhancements, including training suggestions and updates to new or existing procedures.
  • Assist with government surveys used for statistical reporting.
  • Prepare additional reporting such as non-recurring entry (NE) reports.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, internal audit, or public accounting; experience can come from any industry.
  • Strong command of accounting concepts and principles is essential.
  • You should be detail-oriented and able to analyze issues and solve problems effectively.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are needed to work well with diverse stakeholders and remote teams.
  • You should be self-driven, comfortable working independently, and able to contribute as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills are expected, with strong proficiency in Excel.
