Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Accountant to manage and support our financial operations, ensuring transactions are executed accurately and in line with established financial policies. This role involves financial scrutiny, reporting, and reconciliation, alongside effective coordination with partner entities and banking institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and review financial disbursements for accuracy and adherence to internal policies.
• Monitor transactions and expenses related to field offices and partner organizations.
• Offer financial guidance on accounting activities and financial workflows.
• Examine monthly and annual trial balances, validate account balances, and ensure proper reconciliation.
• Oversee expenditures and financial actions to adhere to internal controls.
• Compile financial, accounting, and management reports as needed.
• Authorize accounting documents within assigned approval limits.
• Liaise with banking institutions on financial transfers and account updates.
• Execute monthly financial closings with prompt report submissions.
• Track financial transfers ensuring confirmation and prompt processing.
• Produce periodic reports covering spending, cash status, transfers, and their follow-ups.
• Identify and communicate operational issues impacting financial transactions and aid in their resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an allied field is required.
• At least three years of relevant experience in accounting or financial roles.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English languages is essential.
• Possession of certifications like CPA or CMA is advantageous.
• Strong familiarity with accounting principles, financial controls, and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and financial management systems.
