Accountant

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant based in Cavan, County Cavan, Ireland to support our financial operations. The role includes preparation of financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, RCT and VAT returns. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities combined with excellent business understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate ad-hoc financial reports addressing various organizational requirements
• Prepare and file tax-related documents timely and accurately
• Compile, review, and analyze financial statements to assess business performance
• Support the management of budgeting processes and financial forecasting

Essential Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline
• Proficient ability to interpret and critically analyze financial documentation and periodicals
• Experience with accounting software, preferably SAGE, is advantageous
• Fluency and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
