Accountant Expert

Role overview

We are looking for an Accountant Expert to contribute to the training and evaluation of advanced AI systems. In this remote contract role, you will bring accounting expertise to help improve how models learn from real-world examples and make decisions. Your input will support the creation of high-quality data, clearer evaluation standards, and more reliable model behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Review and make sense of complex financial and marketing-related data to uncover meaningful patterns and insights.
• Design clear rubrics and structured evaluation methods that support AI training and assessment using subject-matter expertise.
• Work with different teams to maintain accounting accuracy and compliance in technology-focused projects.
• Offer specialist guidance on accounting principles to strengthen model development and data verification.
• Prepare and share findings, recommendations, and updates in a clear and professional written and verbal format.
• Keep up with current best practices in the field and apply relevant improvements to active workstreams.
• Help the client team refine data-led strategies by providing practical accounting advice.

Required qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline is required.
• You should have at least 3 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential, along with a strong eye for detail.
• You must be able to analyze data and apply accounting knowledge to solve complex issues.
• Experience building structured rubrics or frameworks for both quantitative and qualitative analysis is needed.
• Comfort with remote, collaborative, and fast-moving work environments is important.
• You should be able to think critically and solve problems independently.

Preferred background

• 7 or more years of total professional experience, ideally across varied accounting settings, is preferred.
• Experience supporting AI model development or similar technology initiatives will be an advantage.
• Advanced accounting or finance certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
