The company is looking for a Payroll Specialist to strengthen the team in Berlin. The ideal person enjoys working with numbers, pays close attention to detail, and likes improving payroll and sales incentive processes.
What You Will Do
- Convert commission plans and reporting outputs into payroll-ready data for the sales team.
- Keep managers informed about sales compensation matters and ensure the relevant figures are correctly reflected in payroll.
- Serve as the main contact for colleagues with payroll-related questions.
- Make sure payroll processes comply with German labour and payroll regulations, including areas such as vacation and sick leave.
- Identify data mismatches or errors and resolve them proactively.
- Extract, process, and present payroll and performance data in a clear way.
- Support ongoing improvements to payroll and incentive processes.
Who We Are Looking For
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship, a degree, or a comparable qualification.
- You have initial experience analysing large data sets, ideally including payroll-related data; experience with Personio or similar HR systems is an advantage.
- You are comfortable making data-driven decisions and have a strong numerical mindset.
- You use Excel at an advanced level and work with strong attention to detail.
- You communicate confidently in both German and English at C1 level or above.
- You are adaptable, open-minded, and willing to learn new tools and processes.
Preferred Background
- Experience with Personio and/or Business Central.
- Background in accounting or practical experience in accounting functions.
- Basic knowledge of German labour law and/or payroll law.
