Accountant and Procurement In-Charge

Job Overview

This position encompasses accounting and procurement duties related to LPG installation projects. The role demands managing financial records, vendor interactions, purchase planning, and inventory coordination, ensuring smooth operations and timely supply of necessary materials.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries using Tally or ERP systems.
• Record transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, and journals.
• Generate GST-related documents such as invoices, e-invoices, and e-way bills.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
• Conduct bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
• Manage vendor payments and monitor accounts receivable and payable.
• Compile financial reports monthly, including cash flow and MIS statements.
• Assist with budgeting, auditing, and strategic financial planning.
• Manage procurement of LPG components such as seamless and GI pipes, valves, regulators, vaporizers, and sensors.
• Initiate and evaluate RFQs, negotiate pricing, and finalize purchase orders.
• Develop partnerships with OEMs, suppliers, and contractors to guarantee timely material delivery.
• Track order statuses, delivery timelines, and pending materials.
• Verify quality and accompanying documentation from suppliers.
• Coordinate with stores regarding material receipt and inventory updates.
• Maintain critical stock levels of essential LPG components.
• Monitor inventory use and availability.
• Collaborate with project engineers and site teams to assess material needs.
• Maintain procurement records and vendor databases.
• Support cost estimation and material budgeting efforts for projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid understanding of accounting principles along with GST and TDS compliance.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management expertise.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and MIS reporting.
• Capacity to handle multiple purchase orders and project demands at once.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with LPG installation materials and industrial procurement processes is highly beneficial.
