Role Overview
Dr. Louie Kriel & Dr. Nicole Kriel Dental Office, located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, is seeking a meticulous Dental Billing and Revenue Cycle Administrator to manage the financial processes of the clinic. This full-time position focuses on handling dental insurance claims, patient billing, payment reconciliation, and comprehensive financial reporting to ensure smooth clinic operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and electronically submit primary and secondary dental insurance claims, ensuring administrative completeness and following up on rejected or incomplete claims.
- Monitor claim submissions and reimbursements, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain patient accounts by reconciling treatment charges and payments from insurance and patients.
- Communicate with patients regarding balances, claim issues, and payment arrangements via approved methods.
- Track accounts receivable aging and enforce a documented follow-up plan for unpaid accounts.
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately and reconcile daily payment deposits with insurer remittances.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies with proper documentation.
- Generate monthly reports covering insurance claims, patient balances, accounts receivable aging, and collections.
- Support office tasks including organizing paperwork and preparing mail.
Required Qualifications
- High accuracy and attention to detail in transaction entry and recordkeeping.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, especially in data analysis and report generation.
- Strong communication skills for professional interaction with patients and insurance providers.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in dental billing, insurance claims processing, or healthcare revenue cycle management.
- Knowledge of dental claims procedures, benefits explanations, and patient account administration.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software like Dentrix.
- Formal education or training in medical/dental office administration, bookkeeping, or accounting is advantageous.
Employment Conditions
- This role is primarily onsite in Prince Albert, with potential for 1-2 remote days weekly following a successful probation, subject to clinic needs and performance.
- Candidates must adhere to clinic policies and maintain professional boundaries.
- The job may involve extended periods of sitting and handling office supplies.
Compensation and Benefits
The wage ranges from $38 to $45 per hour, determined by experience and qualifications. Salary reviews are conducted annually, with potential increases based on performance at the clinic’s discretion. Benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
