Role overview
NISHIMATSU CONSTRUCTION CO.,LTD. is looking for an Accountant to support project-related accounting work in Singapore. The role is focused on day-to-day bookkeeping, closing activities, tax coordination, and general finance support within the construction environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage project accounting activities on a daily basis, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and petty cash.
- Prepare accounting and audit-related schedules as required.
- Support cash management tasks for the assigned account.
- Help with month-end closing and the preparation of periodic reports for the relevant accounts.
- Contribute to joint venture accounting work when assigned.
- Assist with corporate income tax matters and coordinate with tax agents on filing requirements.
- Take on additional tasks and ad hoc duties whenever needed.
Requirements
- A degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit.
- Prior exposure to construction or real estate investment accounting will be considered an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced Excel functions, plus some experience with ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and compliance, especially IFRS and/or SFRS; knowledge of Japan GAAP is a bonus.
- Self-driven, careful, hardworking, and open to learning new tasks and challenges.
- Reliable, committed, positive, and focused on delivering results.
- Comfortable using computers and proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
