Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Account Officer to manage comprehensive vessel accounting duties. This role involves overseeing the complete financial records related to vessels, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to ownership requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for vessels, including processing purchase order accruals, portage bill, and operating expense reports.
- Compile and submit timely financial reports according to vessel owners' specifications.
- Address queries from vessel owners and follow up on any accounting issues as needed.
- Prepare requests for working funds and calculate any surplus or deficit in such funds.
- Complete vessel accounts accurately and on schedule to meet owners' required timelines.
- Handle an independent portfolio comprising a minimum of eight vessels.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related Business field.
- Have at least one year of experience managing full sets of accounts; familiarity with vessel accounting is considered an advantage.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
