Job description
About Spotlight Media
Spotlight Media is a premier TikTok Shop Partner agency focused on growing some of the most prominent brands in the social commerce arena. Unlike conventional agencies, we develop tailored strategies designed to unlock each client's maximum growth potential on TikTok Shop. Our exclusive dedication to TikTok Shop shapes our initiatives and talent selection, driving growth on the platform.
We have successfully supported brands through the full funnel, from launch to scaling multi-million GMV results, with much more growth to come. As Korean beauty (K-beauty) continues to lead the social commerce space, we are expanding our dedicated unit for Korean skincare and beauty brands on TikTok Shop.
Our culture is entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and highly ambitious. We seek high-agency professionals who thrive on autonomy, ownership, and rapid execution. This role offers the opportunity to redefine possibilities for top K-beauty global brands.
Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will operate as the executional backbone for TikTok Shop accounts, focusing on our K-beauty clients. Reporting to a Senior Account Manager, your duties will include translating strategy into tangible actions, sustaining project momentum, maintaining shop health, and delivering seamless execution across teams.
Fluency in Korean (written and spoken) and the ability to work overlapping Korean business hours (KST) for client coordination are essential, as many clients are Korea-based. You will act as the main liaison with Korean brand stakeholders to ensure smooth communication across languages and time zones.
This position emphasizes hands-on learning and fast growth, initially concentrating on operations and execution but offering a development path toward client leadership and strategic responsibilities, typically advancing to Senior Account Manager within 6–12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Korean-language principal contact for K-beauty clients, conducting communications (email, calls, messaging) and translating key documents between Korean and English.
- Manage account operational cadence, including scheduling and facilitating meetings (WBRs/MBRs/QBRs), note-taking, tracking action items, and recapping communications aligned with Korean business hours.
- Develop and continually update 30-, 60-, and 90-day client plans outlining ownership, timelines, and success metrics.
- Compose client status updates and presentations, translating data into actionable insights in both Korean and English.
- Handle tickets, manage dependencies, and maintain stakeholder alignment across multiple time zones.
- Administer day-to-day Seller Center maintenance: product detail page checks, catalog management, compliance reviews, including Korean-language content.
- Track and report account health indicators like Late Dispatch Rate and cancellations while flagging emerging risks.
- Coordinate and launch promotions — bundles, coupons, seasonal events — collaborating with Content and Media teams in tune with K-beauty promotional calendars.
- Assist in resolving approval or policy challenges by organizing documentation and managing escalation processes.
- Draft detailed briefs for Content and Creative units, monitor quality, and ensure adherence to brand guidelines and cultural nuances.
- Partner with Operations and Logistics on fulfillment and customer experience, including cross-border shipping considerations.
- Maintain documentation such as trackers and promotion calendars as the source of truth.
- Conduct quality assurance checks prior to deliverables, validating accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute actively to improving internal playbooks and standard operating procedures based on retrospective learnings.
Growth Opportunities
- Learn alongside Senior Account Managers by observing strategic discussions, escalations, negotiations, and quarterly business reviews.
- Gradually assume lead roles on client calls and small projects, advancing from execution to ownership to strategy.
- Progress on a transparent, merit-based path toward becoming a Senior Account Manager with increasing responsibility and compensation.
Candidate Profile
- Fluent in Korean, capable of conducting all client interactions in Korean both written and spoken.
- Available and willing to synchronize working hours with Korean Standard Time for communications and meetings.
- Experienced with at least 3 years in management, particularly with hiring and team accountability skills.
- Enjoys mentoring peers and fostering team growth.
- Strategically minded with a focus on hands-on learning and independent ownership of tasks.
- Detail-oriented and adept at moving complex initiatives from concept to completion.
- Proficient in creating clear, concise client updates and interpreting metrics to actionable narratives in both Korean and English.
- Familiar and curious about TikTok and TikTok Shop mechanics.
- Enjoys organizing complex workflows including briefs, timelines, and quality checks.
- Possesses a builder attitude, improving systems through documentation and templates.
- Strong cultural understanding of the Korean beauty industry and its brand expectations.
- Actively seeks feedback to accelerate advancement to senior roles.
Essential Qualifications
- Mandatory fluency in Korean (written and spoken) as the primary communication language with brand partners.
- Flexibility to accommodate Korean business hours (KST) for real-time client interaction.
- Between 1 to 4+ years’ experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, marketplace operations, consulting, or client-facing agency roles.
- Excellent project management skills, including task tracking, timeline management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Comfort with tools such as Google Sheets or Excel and ability to perform basic data analysis operations.
- Outstanding verbal and writing communication skills in both Korean and English, with a strong service orientation.
- Experience or strong interest in TikTok as a platform and TikTok Shop operations.
Why Join Us
- High degree of autonomy and ownership from the outset, without micro-management.
- Opportunity to work with leading K-beauty brands in one of the fastest-growing segments of e-commerce.
- Culture centered on growth, rewarding initiative and productivity.
- Mentorship from senior leadership with clear performance-based promotion pathways.
- Competitive salary with performance incentives and flexible/hybrid work options based on location.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000 per year.
