Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an Account Executive to join our team as a crucial early addition. This role involves managing client relationships, overseeing account operations, planning, and delivery coordination within the agency. Initially, this position will also involve supporting business development through proposal creation and pitch coordination to help grow the project pipeline. As the agency expands and additional roles are staffed, the responsibilities will shift to focus fully on account growth, client satisfaction, and consistent project delivery.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Agency Lead.
  • Collaborates extensively across departments including Strategy, Creative, Production, Performance/Digital, Project Management, Finance/Operations, and with external vendors and partners.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client lead managing daily communications and relationship management.
  • Establish strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Lead regular client communications such as weekly status calls, updates, action logs, and approval processes.
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve issues promptly, and handle escalations as needed.
  • Drive client satisfaction, promote retention, and encourage recurring business.
  • Formulate work plans from briefs detailing deliverables, schedules, roles, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate internal teams to guarantee on-time, on-brand, and accurate execution of projects.
  • Ensure thorough quality assurance is completed before delivery to clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive delivery documentation including timelines, decision logs, feedback cycles, and approval tracking.
  • Manage external vendors and freelancers including negotiating quotes, scheduling deliverables, and overseeing invoicing coordination.
  • Support business development by gathering client discovery inputs, preparing capability presentations, crafting proposals, and managing pitch preparation and follow-ups.
  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand account revenue.
  • Support contract renewals and scope expansions with well-founded proposals and measurable expected outcomes.
  • Ensure account profitability through effective scope management and preventing uncontrolled expansion of work.
  • Maintain all account-related documentation and workflows in agency project management tools.
  • Contribute actively to refining internal processes and facilitating the onboarding of new team members to accounts.

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Lead all client communications and manage their expectations effectively.
  • Manage weekly planning and monitor delivery schedules of ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate inputs such as briefs, feedback, approvals, and sign-offs.
  • Contribute to proposal development and pitch activities, especially during the agency's initial growth phase.
  • Maintain accurate account documentation, regular reports, and performance updates.
  • Work closely with internal teams to uphold quality and align outputs with client expectations.

Key Deliverables

  • Regular client status updates and weekly action trackers.
  • Comprehensive account plans prepared monthly or quarterly per client.
  • Detailed project timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Structured proposals detailing scope of work, approach, timelines, assumptions, and pricing coordination.
  • Client reporting dashboards or presentation updates as required.
  • Meeting minutes, decision logs, and tracked approvals.

Success Metrics

  • High levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Consistent on-time delivery and efficient approval processes.
  • Healthy account status with clear scope management and minimal escalations.
  • Effective output and conversion of proposals during the business development phase.
  • Positive contribution to revenue growth through upselling.
  • Improved internal team efficiency indicated by quality briefs and reduced revisions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in account management or client servicing, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Strong comprehension of campaign and project workflows spanning creative, content, digital, and production disciplines.
  • Excellent written communication skills suitable for proposals, professional emails, and client-facing documentation.
  • Confident verbal communication with effective stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, or Jira, and experience with CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage several accounts or projects concurrently without compromising quality.

  • Phase 1 (Launch & Ramp-up): Role focuses approximately 20% on account coordination and delivery and 80% on business development support and proposals.
  • Phase 2 (Team Established): Role transitions to about 60% account management and delivery and 40% growth support.
  • Phase 3 (Fully Scaled): Role becomes a dedicated Account Executive with full responsibility for a portfolio of accounts and growth targets.

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Work location is Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
  • This is a full-time onsite position.
