Role summary
This Account Executive role is a high-impact position that blends relationship building with revenue growth. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in a SaaS environment and a strong ability to grow existing accounts. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-moving, technology-led setting while managing a large portfolio of clients. It is an individual contributor position reporting to the Manager, SMB.
Key responsibilities
- Engage current Docusign customers in a structured and proactive way to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities to increase revenue through broader use of the platform.
- Assess sales opportunities using Docusign’s sales approach and success criteria, including account fit and qualification standards.
- Communicate Docusign’s value in the context of the client’s business needs and connect product benefits to business outcomes.
- Grow adoption beyond the initial implementation by identifying fresh opportunities, recommending relevant solutions, and upselling products, services, and partner offerings.
- Handle sales order processing and support customer onboarding.
- Coordinate customer requests with internal teams such as professional services, training, product management, and marketing.
- Encourage customers to participate in, or speak at, Docusign and partner events.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports and forecasts for management.
- Build strong working knowledge of Docusign products and services.
- Keep CRM records current with account details, leads, and follow-up activity for assigned customers.
- Own customer loyalty efforts and act as an internal champion and escalation point when issues arise.
Requirements
- Strong fluency in both English and French.
- Background in consultative selling and account management, ideally within a SaaS business model.
- Hands-on experience with sales automation tools such as Salesforce.com, along with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- A history of consistently meeting or outperforming individual sales goals is preferred.
- Experience delivering services or consulting work is a plus.
- Comfort managing a large number of active client relationships at the same time.
- Ability to spot opportunities for improving a client’s business processes and recommend practical changes.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to change and prioritize work effectively.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- BS/BA degree preferred.
Work arrangement
This is a hybrid role. Employees are expected to split time between the office and remote work, with office access required. The standard expectation is at least 2 days per week in office, though this can vary by team. Docusign may adjust the designation based on business needs and local legal requirements.
