Job description
Company Overview
Shinka operates an advertising technology platform focused on programmatic monetisation for CTV and DOOH, bringing advertisers and publishers together. The platform handles billions of ad requests every day and is built to deliver measurable outcomes through technology-led execution and strategic partnerships.
Role Summary
We are seeking an Account Executive to take ownership of the closing process. In this role, you will sit at the heart of the commercial flow between SDR, Account Executive, and Customer Success: you will pick up qualified opportunities generated by the SDR team and move them through to becoming active, paying customers.
The sales motion here is consultative and structured, typically unfolding over several weeks and involving pitch sessions, RFI responses, technical testing, and go-live coordination with multiple stakeholders. Your responsibility is to manage that journey effectively, keep momentum high, and ensure the opportunity reaches first invoice before the account is transitioned to Customer Success for expansion.
You will not be working in isolation. A Technical Solutions Engineer will support you with RFIs and testing, and the founder will handle the largest and most complex partnership opportunities. This is both a sales and a build role: as the company’s first dedicated closer, the way you run deals will influence how the team sells going forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the deal process, guiding qualified SDR-sourced opportunities from pitch through RFI, technical review, commercial negotiation, and go-live, with the goal of securing the first paid invoice.
- Manage a consultative technical sale by responding to RFIs, shaping test plans, and working through security and procurement discussions with support from the Technical Solutions Engineer.
- Ensure accounts are handed over smoothly once customers are live and confident, providing Customer Success with the background needed to grow the relationship further.
- Work closely with the SDR team by sharing prompt, candid feedback on lead quality and coaching where useful to improve the funnel.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and disciplined CRM records so the pipeline remains reliable and commercial planning stays grounded in reality.
Candidate Profile
The company values the quality of your deal execution more than the brand names on your CV. This position is best suited to a mid-level closer with around one to three years of closing experience who can independently manage a consultative sales cycle with technical support when needed.
- A proven history of closing B2B deals that involve multiple steps and evaluation stages, rather than simple transactional or one-call sales.
- The ability to contribute confidently to technical discussions; you do not need to be an engineer, but you should be able to handle RFIs and testing conversations without losing the prospect’s confidence.
- Strong resilience and ownership, with the ability to push deals forward, escalate appropriately, and make decisions without waiting for direction, especially in a setting where the founder travels frequently.
- An honest approach to forecasting, with a preference for accuracy over telling the team what they want to hear.
- Helpful but not essential experience in AdTech, programmatic media, publishing, enterprise sales, technical sales, or being an early/first AE in a scaling team.
Offer and Working Arrangement
- Base salary of €55,000 with an OTE of €107,000.
- Role location: Dublin, Ireland.
- Hybrid setup requiring three days per week in the office and the remaining two days working from home.
Application Notes
Interested candidates should email a brief note to the hiring team explaining two examples: one deal you closed that you are especially proud of, including what made it challenging and how you handled it, and one deal you lost along with what you would do differently next time. Use the subject line “Account Executive – [your name]”. A formal cover letter or CV is not required at this stage.
Candidates are encouraged to apply even if their background does not match every requirement exactly, provided the role feels like the right next step for them. The company is building its team in Dublin and is looking for people who want to be part of that journey. Only applicants currently based in Ireland, or those who already have the right to work there, will be considered for this role, and the position is intended for someone excited to work from Dublin.
