Role overview
Databricks is hiring a driven Account Executive to support its fast-growing APJ business, with a specific focus on public sector accounts in Singapore. This sales position is expected to contribute directly to revenue growth and broader market expansion.
In this role, you will manage and expand key customer relationships, win new business, and deepen existing accounts. The job calls for someone who understands how to sell into a defined vertical, can move opportunities forward efficiently, and is comfortable explaining a complex product in a clear, customer-focused way. You will actively hunt for new prospects while also growing current accounts.
What you will do
- Promote Databricks’ Unified Analytics Platform, built on Spark, and strengthen brand presence across accounts and industries.
- Identify, qualify, and create new sales opportunities independently and together with the SDR team.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders and guide them through evaluation, decision-making, and purchase stages.
- Consistently meet or surpass activity goals, pipeline targets, and annual revenue objectives.
- Collaborate with regional partners such as technology partners, ISVs, SIs, and GSIs to grow business.
- Support customer retention, success, and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Develop and execute a territory plan centered on the public sector and other relevant industries.
What they are looking for
- At least 7 years of experience selling SaaS solutions in Singapore to public sector, enterprise, mid-market, or commercial customers.
- A strong record of success in enterprise sales, preferably within big data, cloud, or SaaS.
- Hands-on experience positioning innovation-based solutions, ideally in big data, cloud, or SaaS environments.
- A consultative, outcome-driven selling style using approaches such as Command of the Message, MEDDPIC, or Challenger Sale.
- The ability to explain complex cloud and big data products in simple terms and connect them to business outcomes.
- A clear history of strong performance and upward career progression.
