Based in downtown Phoenix, the company emphasizes passion, creativity, innovation, and care, and it aims to create memorable experiences for fans, partners, and the wider community.

This position is for an experienced, driven business development account executive who will contribute to revenue generation across the Player 15 Group portfolio, with the strongest focus on the Phoenix Mercury. The role sits in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where each team member supports team success, fan experience, and broader community impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Consistently meet or surpass weekly, monthly, and yearly sales targets, along with required activity benchmarks.
  • Deliver a high-quality sales experience by clearly explaining product value, addressing objections, and setting clients up for long-term engagement.
  • Attend games and events to welcome prospects, handle in-person meetings, and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Contribute to team-wide efforts aimed at improving sales processes, strengthening sales culture, and advancing membership strategy.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Experience and qualifications

  • Proven performance in outbound sales roles that require strong daily activity and persistence.
  • Receptive to coaching and feedback, with a genuine commitment to ongoing improvement and career development.
  • Comfortable working within structured sales processes and disciplined pipeline management practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, organized work habits, and the ability to keep CRM records accurate and current.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Competitive, resilient, and collaborative, especially in a fast-paced environment driven by metrics.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sports business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a dedicated outbound sales role, ideally in sports and entertainment.

Work environment

The team values an in-person, collaborative, people-first culture. Members are expected to bring initiative, ownership, and a proactive “I’ll do it” mindset while supporting colleagues and fans alike.

The organization also highlights opportunities for career growth and a workplace experience designed to make coming to work enjoyable.

Benefits and perks

  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage options, subject to employment status and eligibility.
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, volunteer time, and company holidays.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Team experiences during the year such as offsites, catered lunches, coffee stands, ice cream trucks, and similar events.
  • Team merchandise throughout the year plus employee discounts at the Team Shop and online store.
  • Complimentary tickets to Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Valley Suns games, as well as other local sports and concert events when available.
  • Access to onsite amenities including a full fitness center with locker rooms and showers, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a pickleball court, a golf simulator and putting green, an onsite cafeteria, and collaborative gathering spaces.
