Job description
About the Company
LinkedIn is a global professional network designed to create economic opportunity for every member of the workforce. Its products are built to help people form meaningful connections, find new opportunities, develop skills, and gain useful insights each day. The company also invests in its employees’ growth and aims to foster a workplace culture grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and fun, so that people can thrive.
The opportunity is to join a team focused on changing how the world works.
Role Overview
As a Growth Mid-Market Account Executive within Marketing Solutions, you will manage a portfolio of customers and help them achieve measurable results through digital marketing strategy. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor and hands-on operator, connecting marketing investment decisions to business impact. The position follows a single point of contact model, where you will own both strategy and optimization for your book of business.
This role requires strong commercial thinking, confidence in handling complex buying groups, and a disciplined, data-led approach to decision-making. You will influence customer investment choices by showing how LinkedIn can deliver value throughout the full marketing funnel.
The role is hybrid, meaning work will be split between home and a LinkedIn office on selected days based on team business needs.
Responsibilities
- Create and run a strategic plan for your assigned portfolio, balancing scaled engagement with high-value partnerships for priority accounts.
- Develop trusted customer relationships by understanding their business goals, marketing objectives, success measures, and funnel-wide challenges.
- Lead customer discussions with insights and evidence, using data to shape strategy, influence decisions, and connect marketing performance to business outcomes.
- Design and execute customized marketing strategies that align LinkedIn solutions with client goals and support both performance and long-term growth.
- Show and explain return on investment through measurement, value reviews, and ongoing optimization guidance that encourages additional spend.
- Work across multiple stakeholders and decision-makers to build alignment, secure support, and speed up decisions.
- Grow revenue by finding new opportunities, increasing product adoption, and expanding share of wallet across the portfolio.
- Keep forecasting accurate, maintain clean pipeline management, and apply strong operational discipline to deliver consistent outcomes.
- Continue building expertise in LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, market trends, and digital marketing strategy to clearly differentiate the platform’s value.
Qualifications
Basic requirements
- More than 5 years of direct platform account management experience in performance media or advertising sales, and more than 8 years working with media or advertising teams.
- At least 3 years in a customer-facing sales or account management role with quota responsibility.
- Experience using data and tools to manage a book of business and guide decisions.
Preferred background
- Experience in-platform with performance media sales or account management, such as Meta, Google, LinkedIn, or Pinterest.
- A strong history of consistently meeting or beating quota in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Ability to forecast accurately and deliver against business targets with discipline and structure.
- Strong capability to turn data into insights and present a persuasive story that drives customer action.
- Experience working through and influencing complex buying groups, including senior stakeholders.
- Ability to build long-term, trust-based customer relationships and act as a strategic advisor.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing, including full-funnel strategy, measurement, and account-based marketing.
- Proven ability to operate strategically and tactically within a portfolio model covering 25 to 40 parent accounts.
- Strong communication skills across virtual, phone, and written channels, with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Highly organized and comfortable working in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Experience with LinkedIn solutions or similar ad platforms, plus tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, or Gong.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
Compensation and Benefits
The target pay range for this position is CAD 164,000 to CAD 205,000 in on-target earnings. Actual compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s skills, depth of experience, certifications, and work location. Pay may differ in other locations because labor costs vary.
