Job description
Position overview
The Chicago Bulls are hiring a full-time Account Executive for group sales. This role is designed for a driven, highly organized professional who can sell the full menu of offerings while also supporting season-ticket-related sales targets. A major focus of the position is generating new business through in-person meetings, virtual conversations, and outreach conducted both at the United Center and outside the office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, well organized, and comfortable building relationships with a wide range of clients.
What you'll do
Success in this role will come from combining sales discipline with strong service. You will use prospecting, networking, lead generation, referrals, data capture, and database management to grow the book of business. The position involves selling group tickets, hospitality packages, and daily suite rentals to both corporations and members of the public, while also delivering strong customer care to dedicated fans.
- Drive new business by building relationships through self-generated prospecting, cold calling, and campaign execution.
- Create and pursue face-to-face meetings with local businesses, schools, faith-based organizations, youth basketball groups, and other prospects.
- Hit or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
- Track and manage performance metrics such as calls, touchpoints, and appointments on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Develop creative sales ideas, strategies, and programs that generate new opportunities.
- Support game-day activities by hosting prospects and helping with sales-related tasks, including fan experience packages.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented sales culture and build strong working relationships with colleagues.
- Attend and participate in daily or weekly sales meetings and game-day responsibilities.
- Use the arena to meet clients during home games and guide prospects through seating and facility options on game days and non-game days.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of demonstrated sales experience, regardless of industry.
- A four-year college degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong organization and time-management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong customer service and problem-solving ability.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus the ability to learn CRM and ticketing software quickly.
- Ability to move around the arena to meet clients and escort prospects through facilities and seating areas.
- Candidate must already be in the Chicagoland area or willing to relocate there, since fully remote work is not available for this position.
Compensation and benefits
The base pay range is $40,000 to $45,000 per year, plus a structured bonus and commission eligibility. Final compensation may vary depending on education, experience, skills, abilities, internal pay alignment, and market data.
Full-time benefits include healthcare, dental, and vision coverage; fully paid basic employee life insurance and disability coverage; a 401(k) with employer match and an annual discretionary contribution; a flexible spending account for healthcare and dependent care; commuter benefits; paid time off including vacation, sick time, holidays, days of significance, and parental leave; complimentary home game tickets; parking and gym access; complimentary snacks, lunch, and dinner when working games or events; and pet insurance.
