Player 15 Group is the sports and entertainment organization behind the Phoenix Suns (NBA), Phoenix Mercury (WNBA), Valley Suns (G League), and Mortgage Matchup Center. The organization is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Account Executive, Group Sales to join its ticket sales team. This position supports multiple areas of ticket sales for Player 15 Group and also contributes to broader departmental projects and initiatives.
What you'll do
- Drive group ticket revenue across all Player 15 Group properties through outbound outreach such as phone calls, email campaigns, virtual meetings, and in-person presentations.
- Consistently meet and outperform weekly, monthly, and annual targets, along with required activity benchmarks.
- Design customized group packages and experiences that encourage attendance and stronger engagement from group leaders.
- Find new business through lead generation, referrals, networking opportunities, and market research.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and keep all prospect activity current in internal systems such as CRM tools.
- Deliver strong service by coordinating the planning, communication, and execution of group outings.
- Attend games and events to host clients, run group programs, and uncover upsell opportunities.
- Contribute to team-wide initiatives that help improve and evolve group ticket sales strategy.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate brings 1 to 3 years of sales experience, ideally in outbound sales, ticket sales, B2B, fundraising, or hospitality sales. Success in this role requires a disciplined, self-directed approach, a strong work ethic, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while driving revenue.
You should be comfortable working in a commission-, bonus-, or metrics-driven environment and have a strong understanding of customer needs. The role also calls for excellent communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to work cold calls and live events, and a highly organized approach to managing several priorities and deadlines at once.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is needed. You must also be willing to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Familiarity with Ticketmaster Archtics, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms is preferred, along with a strong interest in building a career in sports ticket sales and service.
