Job Overview
The Sales team is seeking an Account Executive responsible for managing sales of SAS software products, solutions, and services within a fast-paced, high-volume multitasking environment. This role focuses on both prospective and existing accounts within the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of software, solutions, and services by identifying, acquiring, growing, and retaining accounts in the assigned territory.
- Engage with assigned accounts to uncover business challenges, qualify sales opportunities, and allocate resources strategically for success.
- Develop and execute account and territory management plans, including identifying high-potential clients and advancing deals through the sales cycle while forecasting closing timelines.
- Collaborate with pre-sales teams, virtual sales units, account managers, and company leaders to ensure swift and effective responses to qualified leads and strategic accounts.
- Prepare pricing quotations, proposals, and contracts, coordinating with various departments to finalize agreements and schedule delivery.
- Maintain client relationships post-sale, monitor satisfaction levels, identify new revenue prospects, and nurture long-term partnerships.
- Utilize SAS account planning and sales methodologies like BASE or Strategic Selling for pipeline management, forecasting, and identifying promising leads.
- Leverage industry knowledge, company marketing goals, and an understanding of SAS applications to assess client needs and tailor suitable solutions.
- Formulate and implement action plans to close deals with key accounts and expand client relationships within the territory.
- Demonstrate the core values of curiosity, passion, authenticity, and accountability in all actions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
- At least five years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical support involving software solutions, computer hardware, or telecommunications products and services. Relevant industry experience can be considered.
- Thorough expertise in the field with the ability to solve diverse issues creatively and independently; recognized as a career-level professional.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions using good judgment and industry knowledge.
- Familiarity with basic sales techniques and understanding of hardware/software purchasing cycles and key buying influences.
- Ability to analyze territory dynamics, devise effective sales strategies, and communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly.
