Job description
About the company
Notion is an AI-powered collaborative workspace that brings knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools into one place so teams can work with more speed, clarity, and less fragmentation. It supports individuals, small businesses, and enterprise teams across a wide range of workflows.
The company’s people are expected to help shape the future of work by focusing on strong craft, durable product thinking, and the idea that work should remain fundamentally human even as AI becomes more central. The goal is not simply to release more features, but to raise the bar for how people and teams collaborate in the AI era.
Role overview
This Dublin-based Account Executive role is focused on acquiring new customers and growing existing accounts within the Commercial SMB segment across CEE. It is a full-cycle sales position for someone who can prospect proactively, lead discovery, present demos, handle objections, and move opportunities through to close with urgency and structure.
You will work with senior technical and business stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Product, and VPs of Engineering. The role requires strong understanding of technical use cases such as APIs, data, developer tooling, infrastructure, and AI or agentic workflows.
What you will do
- Build new pipeline through an outbound-led approach and create momentum quickly inside target accounts.
- Manage the complete sales journey, from prospecting and discovery to solution positioning, demonstrations, negotiation, and final close.
- Lead effective discovery conversations that identify business goals and technical needs, then turn those into a compelling value story.
- Conduct live demos and adapt the story to the customer’s context, including light solution planning around workspace design, permissions, rollout strategy, and integrations when needed.
- Work through security, legal, and procurement requirements with help from internal partners.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and execute consistently at a high pace to achieve or exceed quota.
- Share market and customer insights with Solutions, Product, and Marketing teams to help improve the business.
What we are looking for
- 1–3 years of closing experience in a full-cycle, quota-carrying sales role, or in a closely related role with clear closing responsibilities and a record of meeting targets.
- Experience selling to or collaborating with technical decision-makers such as CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and VPs of Product, with the ability to connect product features to workflow impact and ROI.
- Strong outbound habits, creative pipeline generation, and end-to-end sales capability across discovery, demoing, and closing.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals and influence decision-making across larger organizations.
- Fast learning ability and curiosity, especially for technical concepts and how to explain them in simple terms.
- Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work and familiarity with modern AI-enabled ways of working.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, help shape the commercial motion in the CEE market, and turn customer feedback into scalable processes.
- Fluency in English and Polish.
- Willingness to adopt AI tools and use them to work more effectively, even without being an AI specialist.
Nice to have
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-based pricing.
- Exposure to developer tooling, APIs, data, infrastructure, or AI products.
- Previous experience as an early sales hire in a fast-growing startup.
- Fluency in Czech.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The expected total on-target earnings, including base salary and incentive pay, is €130,000 per year. Final compensation may vary depending on location, scope of the role, and the candidate’s background and experience.
Application and privacy
By submitting an application, candidates acknowledge that the company and its affiliates may collect and process personal information in line with its Global Recruiting Privacy Policy.
AI approach
The company expects people to be curious, experimental, and willing to use AI as a practical collaborator in their work. Some roles may require stronger AI fluency, but for most roles the expectation is that candidates can learn, explore, and use AI tools to improve their output and make work easier for others.
Equal opportunity and accommodations
The employer welcomes applicants from a broad range of backgrounds and encourages qualified candidates to apply even if they do not match every requirement. Hiring decisions are made without discrimination on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. The company also considers qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records where permitted by law.
Reasonable accommodations are available during the hiring process for candidates who need them, including people with disabilities and disabled veterans. Applicants who need support are encouraged to inform the recruiter.
