About the Team
OpenAI’s purpose is to develop safe artificial general intelligence that serves the good of all people. To make that happen, the company brings together leading scientists, engineers, and business experts in one collaborative environment.
The Go To Market organization supports customers in understanding how to adopt and scale OpenAI’s advanced AI products across their businesses. This group includes Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnerships, all working together to deliver high-value outcomes and expand access to AI.
About the Role
The sales organization is focused on helping customers see how advanced AI models can reshape their businesses and improve user experiences. This position blends technical fluency, strategic thinking, collaboration, and a strong focus on customer value.
You will help move opportunities through the full sales process, from generating pipeline to closing deals. In doing so, you will work closely with researchers, engineers, and solution strategists to support customers as they introduce AI into their operations.
This position is based in Singapore. The company follows a hybrid arrangement with three in-office days each week and provides relocation support for new hires.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a focused set of strategic accounts, building and carrying out a full account plan for each one.
- Guide enterprise prospects through evaluation, adoption, and successful rollout.
- Work with solutions and research engineering teams to design and deliver complex customer programs and initiatives.
- Take responsibility for a consumption-based revenue goal.
- Track and forecast consumption revenue performance.
- Review account-level metrics, prepare reports, and share insights with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor the market, including competitors, partners, and talent movement, and feed those insights into product and corporate strategy.
- Partner across functions such as solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product, and engineering.
- Help hire and onboard new team members.
- Contribute to strengthening company culture.
Experience and Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service to major financial services organizations in Southeast Asia.
- Strong awareness of current trends in the financial services sector.
- Solid understanding of the AI transformation priorities and challenges faced by financial institutions.
- A track record of consistently delivering more than $2M in annual revenue for over 3 years.
- Experience building and executing sophisticated deal strategies.
- Background supporting growth in fast-scaling, high-performance companies.
- Comfort working directly with C-level executives.
- Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to customers and internal partners.
- Experience leading high-visibility customer events such as CABs, conferences, and product launches.
- Ability to collect, synthesize, and interpret complex market intelligence across customers, prospects, competitors, and the broader industry.
What Will Help You Succeed
- You keep the customer at the center and are driven to understand their priorities in depth.
- You build trusted relationships with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- You are genuinely curious about artificial intelligence and excited to help shape how it is used responsibly.
- You enjoy building systems and processes from the ground up and improving them with care and precision.
- You are energized by ambiguous problems and enjoy testing new approaches to solve them.
- You think strategically over long time horizons and can bring others along with your plan.
