3 Ton Pickup Driver - Events and Weddings

Role Overview

An events and wedding company in Dubai is seeking a dependable and experienced 3-ton manual pickup driver. The role centers on moving event-related items safely and on time across venues throughout the UAE, while also supporting the wider operations team whenever needed.

Key Duties

• Drive a manual 3-ton pickup in line with UAE road rules and safety standards.
• Move furniture, décor, flowers, lighting, sound gear, staging items, and other event supplies to and from event locations.
• Carefully handle loading and unloading to avoid any damage to company property.
• Help with setup and breakdown of wedding and event equipment as required.
• Check the vehicle before and after trips and report any mechanical concerns right away.
• Keep the pickup clean, well-arranged, and roadworthy.
• Make sure all deliveries and collections are completed correctly and within the planned timeline.
• Confirm delivery and collection lists before leaving the warehouse or venue.
• Ensure cargo is fastened securely during transit.
• Maintain fuel logs, mileage records, and vehicle inspection documentation.
• Follow all company safety and health procedures consistently.
• Deal professionally and courteously with clients, venue teams, and suppliers.
• Be prepared for evening work, weekends, public holidays, and overtime during busy event periods.
• Assist warehouse activities when no delivery assignments are scheduled.

Requirements

• A valid UAE manual driving licence that permits driving a 3-ton vehicle (Category 3 or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience operating a 3-ton truck in the UAE.
• Strong familiarity with UAE roads and GPS-based navigation.
• Background in events, logistics, moving, or furniture-related work will be considered an advantage.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy items.
• Basic spoken and written English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• A trustworthy, reliable attitude and comfort working under pressure.
• Availability for a flexible schedule and long working hours when necessary.

Preferred Background

• Previous work experience with weddings, events, production, or rental businesses.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
• Experience handling fragile décor, flowers, lighting, staging, and audiovisual equipment.
