Position Overview
The Production Auditor, titled internally as Technical Systems Assessor, plays a pivotal role in the Technical/Compliance team by ensuring effective implementation of our quality control and food safety systems at the Waitōtara site. The role oversees compliance management, food safety, and continuous improvement initiatives, while providing guidance to Quality Controllers for complex tasks.
Work Conditions
This on-site role requires availability from 7am to 4pm, with some flexibility for afternoon shifts as part of the team’s operations. Suitable candidates relocating to the Waitōtara region may receive relocation assistance.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants will have internal auditing or quality systems expertise, with the ability to influence and support teams to comply with production, safety, quality, and regulatory standards. A keen eye for operational efficiencies and high-quality output, coupled with strong team engagement and meticulous attention to detail, are crucial.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Desirable tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, or related disciplines.
- Experience and/or certification in internal auditing is advantageous.
- HSNO qualification is a beneficial asset.
- Previous food industry experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding and application of HACCP principles.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret findings, and communicate insights clearly.
- A proactive attitude towards team collaboration and meeting daily objectives.

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
