Job Overview
This role offers a unique chance to leverage your STEM and engineering expertise as a Special Agent for the FBI. Transitioning from engineering to this position involves enhancing your skills through specialized training, real investigative work, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies that help protect national security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute investigations targeting potential federal law violations, cybersecurity breaches, and public safety risks.
- Apply judgment, ingenuity, and adaptability to meet complex investigative needs.
- Develop and sustain productive partnerships with law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness standards necessary for performing law enforcement responsibilities effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must possess U.S. citizenship.
- Capability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel as job demands.
- Meeting the FBI's employment eligibility is essential.
- Minimum education requirement is a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in engineering or a related discipline, from an accredited U.S. institution.
- All degrees must be substantiated with official college transcripts.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is from $93,749 to $133,200 annually, adjusted for base pay, locality, and availability. The FBI supports your professional development through a robust benefits package and a collaborative work environment.
