About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Site Finishing Engineer to oversee and manage all finishing operations on construction sites. This role is crucial for ensuring the aesthetic and functional quality of interior and exterior finishes, including plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, ceiling, and cladding. The Engineer will be responsible for detailed planning, coordinating with contractors, and meticulously monitoring progress to guarantee that all finishing activities are completed punctually, adhere to stringent quality standards, and precisely match approved architectural drawings and specifications. This position plays a vital part in successful project delivery by ensuring all finishing-related tasks are executed flawlessly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct daily finishing tasks such as tiling, plastering, painting, false ceiling installation, flooring, joinery work, and façade finishes.
- Thoroughly review and interpret architectural and finishing drawings to ensure construction execution precisely matches specifications and the intended design.
- Actively monitor the progress of contractor activities, track work completion against project timelines, and ensure finishing milestones are met according to the overall project schedule.
- Conduct regular site inspections to rigorously assess the quality of workmanship and verify compliance with approved standards and established mock-ups.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores departments to ensure the timely availability of all necessary materials, tools, and equipment on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising and executing finishing works on construction sites.
- Strong understanding of various finishing materials and techniques (plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, false ceilings, cladding).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Excellent coordination and monitoring skills for contractor activities.
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance.
- Familiarity with material and resource management on site.
