Role overview
Hind Management is hiring an energetic and dependable Room Attendant to join the housekeeping team at Sudima Auckland City. The role suits someone who enjoys keeping spaces spotless, comfortable, and welcoming while contributing to a supportive team culture.
You will help maintain high standards across guest rooms and selected public areas, making sure each stay reflects quality presentation, cleanliness, and attentive service.
This is a part-time position with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week. The hourly pay is $26.50, and you must be available for a 7-day roster.
Key responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and prepare guest rooms to a consistently high standard
- Restock guest amenities, linen, and other room supplies as needed
- Assist with keeping assigned public areas clean when required
- Flag maintenance concerns, missing items, and any room-related defects
- Follow all hygiene, health, and safety procedures at work
- Complete daily room allocations efficiently without compromising quality
- Provide courteous, professional interactions with guests
Working pattern
This position follows a roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant is someone who takes pride in doing quality work, notices the small details, and works well with others. You should be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable staying organised in a busy environment.
The role also involves physical tasks such as lifting linen, pushing housekeeping carts, and repeated bending, reaching, and standing during shifts.
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is helpful but not essential, as training is provided. A willingness to learn and a positive attitude are important.
