About the Role
Transform your passion for travel into a fulfilling career with Flight Centre. As a Sales Travel Consultant, you will engage with customers to craft personalized travel experiences, handling all aspects from flights to accommodations and tours. This position is full-time and based in our retail store in Townsville Stocklands, Queensland, operating on a rotating roster across seven days.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site customer service, assisting clients in planning and booking comprehensive travel itineraries via face-to-face, phone, or email communication.
- Meet and strive to exceed individual KPIs and sales goals by offering a full range of holiday services including flights, accommodation, car hire, tours, travel insurance, cruises, and transfers.
- Grow and maintain a loyal customer base, serving both repeat and new clients with diverse travel needs from domestic trips to international vacations.
- Offer expert advice on travel-related inquiries such as visa requirements, optimal travel times, packing tips, dining options, and travel warnings.
- Benefit from a base salary complemented by an unlimited commission structure, earning a percentage of every booking.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced traveler with multiple international destinations visited and a passion for sharing travel knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills including effective note-taking, calendar management, and prompt communication.
- Ability to perform under pressure, managing busy periods with customers, phone calls, and emails while meeting sales targets.
- Warmth, enthusiasm, and an engaging personality that encourages customers to choose your service.
- Technologically adept, capable of navigating various complex systems simultaneously to find the best travel options.
