About the Role
We seek an experienced Receptionist to become a vital member of our library team. This role forms the initial contact point for visitors, ensuring a warm and efficient atmosphere that embodies our institution's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to visitor questions and provide detailed information regarding library collections, services, memberships, and events in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle membership-related tasks such as registration, invoicing, maintaining records, and managing the membership database.
- Catalog new books systematically and perform routine audits to maintain the accuracy and order of the library’s holdings.
- Assist in planning and facilitating library functions and high-level meetings, managing all logistics including setup, audio checks, photography, catering, registration, and attendance monitoring.
- Produce daily reports reflecting essential library metrics like visitor interactions, membership activities, and event participation.
- Compose and dispatch professional correspondence to address inquiries and share updates with members.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to continually improve library services and the visitor experience.
- Contribute to efforts aimed at boosting membership figures and initiating new partnerships.
- Perform general administrative duties and other assignments as directed by the Project Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related discipline is required.
- Prior experience in reception or customer service roles is essential.
- Experience or a keen interest in cultural or educational environments is highly desirable.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a dynamic setting.
- Professional appearance and conduct are mandatory.
Additional Information
- This position requires availability to work in shifts including all weekends.
- Candidates must demonstrate full flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules.
- It is a full-time, on-site role requiring attendance five days per week.
- Employees will receive two rest days each week, which may fall on any weekday from Monday through Thursday.
- This opportunity is open exclusively to UAE residents and is available for immediate joining.

This role is based in-person at our Dubai location.
