Quality Assurance Tester

Join Orcapod Consulting Services as a Quality Assurance Tester based in Hyderabad. This role involves becoming an expert in your assigned domains, including understanding application functionality and business requirements to ensure high-quality software deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in your working domains covering various testing types and business processes.
• Analyze and verify requirements to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Collaborate with QA leads to identify and draft test scenarios.
• Create detailed test cases linked to those scenarios.
• Carry out test executions and log defects promptly.
• Actively contribute to the team by promoting quality, security, and best practices.
• Conduct a range of testing types including functional, smoke, regression, and non-functional aspects such as usability, accessibility, and performance testing.
• Assist defect analysis and perform retesting after fixes.
• Record, assess, and document test outcomes clearly.
• Employ tools like MS Excel to compile metrics and make informed recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or related discipline.
• At least 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software testing.
• Understanding of software development life cycle, preferably with Scaled Agile Framework knowledge.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies.
• Experience using test management software, especially Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team, managing multiple tasks and adapting to shifting priorities.
• Quick integration into existing team environments.

Preferred Skills and Traits

• Quality Assurance certifications like ISTQB considered advantageous.
• Experience or knowledge of automation scripting, particularly with TOSCA or other low-code automation technologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving acumen, and effective research and presentation skills.
