About the Role

Twyford International, a leading ceramic manufacturing company in East Africa, is in search of a meticulous and proactive Purchase Specialist to enhance our procurement functions. Positioned in Kajiado County, Kenya, this role demands oversight of supplier onboarding, management of procurement systems and contracts, as well as maintaining precise records of procurement activities.

Key Duties

  • Oversee supplier onboarding processes specifically for Kentao and Yitao general merchandise vendors.
  • Initiate, execute, and supervise workflows in the system for both one-time and ongoing procurement contracts.
  • Manage reconciliation and payment processing related to Kentao merchandise purchases.
  • Monitor purchase order deliveries and proactively engage with stakeholders to guarantee timely receipt of goods.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date procurement documents, logs, and transaction records.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities align with company policies and internal guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to support seamless procurement operations.
  • Generate procurement reports and deliver administrative assistance to the procurement team when necessary.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related disciplines.
  • Between 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in procurement operations, purchasing, or procurement support roles.
  • Competency in SAP, SRM, ERP, or comparable procurement management software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and report generation.
  • Exceptional organization, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Strong ethical standards, professional demeanor, and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a dynamic work environment.
