Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant to provide executive support to the General Manager Communities & Lifestyle. This vital role ensures efficient departmental operations, fosters strong stakeholder relationships, and supports high-quality service delivery across the Council.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted partner to the General Manager by providing high-level administrative and executive assistance in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Manage competing priorities with sound judgment, discretion, and initiative while aligning with departmental goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will possess a Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrated experience in delivering senior administrative or executive support, emphasizing confidentiality, discretion, and sound decision-making. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are necessary, including handling sensitive inquiries professionally and resolving issues diplomatically. Strong abilities in research, analysis, and written communication are required to produce well-crafted correspondence and reports with high attention to detail. The role demands effective multitasking, prioritizing workloads, problem-solving skills, and appropriate escalation where necessary.
Working Conditions and Remuneration
- Permanent full-time role based in Rockhampton
- Monday to Friday schedule, 72.5 hours per fortnight with a nine-day fortnight arrangement
- Annual salary ranging between $98,633 and $104,913 (LGIA Stream A Level 4), plus superannuation
- Subject to satisfactory Criminal History Check (Australia-wide police check)
