About the Role
Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Australia (RFDS WA) as a PC-12 Line Pilot, contributing essential aeromedical retrieval and primary healthcare services throughout one of the world's largest health jurisdictions. Operating from bases including Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie, and Meekatharra, you will engage in critical medical transport missions supporting doctors and nurses across remote and regional Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Fly modern PC-12 aircraft to perform aeromedical retrievals, inter-hospital transfers, and primary healthcare flights.
- Operate safely and precisely across remote communities, regional airports, and challenging airstrips requiring sound judgement and calm decision-making.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including medical, engineering, and operations personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient transport.
- Build advanced single-pilot capabilities in a high-trust aviation environment under strong safety and governance frameworks.

Candidate Requirements
- Australian Civil or Air Transport Pilot Licence (CPL or ATPL) with current CASA Class 1 Medical Certification.
- Current Instrument Rating and minimum 1,500 total flight hours including at least 60 hours of night flying.
- Recent Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) experience, including current or recent Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC).
- Availability and commitment to participate in the November 2026 RFDS WA Ground School intake.
- Willingness to commit to regional postings for up to two years.
- Additional experience valued but not mandatory: single-pilot IFR, regional/remote operations, turbine and pressurised aircraft operation, aeromedical or charter flying experience.
