About the Role
Pacific Coast Post Acute seeks a dependable and organized Nurse Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator to assist the nursing team with scheduling and staffing duties. This part-time position is pivotal in ensuring adequate nursing coverage to fulfill resident care requirements while adhering to facility policies and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage nursing schedules to guarantee sufficient shift coverage.
- Arrange staffing solutions for call-offs, vacations, leaves, and vacant shifts.
- Oversee staffing levels in alignment with census data and resident care needs.
- Address urgent staffing demands promptly and secure necessary coverage.
Administrative Duties
- Keep precise records of staffing, attendance, and scheduling.
- Communicate schedule updates and alterations to staff members and leadership.
- Assist in scheduling for onboarding new employees.
- Support clerical tasks related to staffing and scheduling.
Compliance and Coordination
- Ensure all schedules adhere to facility policies and staffing requirements.
- Collaborate closely with nursing leadership to resolve staffing issues.
- Monitor attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism as required.
- Protect confidentiality of employee and resident information.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in staffing, scheduling, or healthcare administration preferred.
- Background in skilled nursing or post-acute care is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging from $21 to $25.
