Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and practical Laundry Team Leader to assist the Laundry Supervisor with managing everyday laundry operations. This position demands technical knowledge in stain removal and chemical use paired with leadership capabilities to guarantee efficient workflow, consistent quality, and a safe environment that supports outstanding guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily laundry activities, delegating tasks and achieving production objectives.
• Operate and supervise heavy-duty equipment including washers, extractors, dryers, and flatwork ironers.
• Provide training and guidance to laundry staff on sorting, fabric care, chemical handling, and stain removal processes.
• Execute stain removal treatments and apply suitable chemical agents effectively.
• Evaluate laundered items to verify cleanliness and quality presentation standards.
• Oversee linen handling logistics such as preparing trolleys, distribution, and inventory management.
• Ensure the laundry area remains tidy, safe, and well-organized at all times.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience working as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Senior Washer in commercial or hotel laundry settings.
• Practical expertise in operating industrial laundry machinery including washers, extractors, dryers, and ironers.
• In-depth understanding of stain types and advanced stain removal techniques using chemicals.
• Ability to train, lead, and inspire a varied team of attendants effectively.
• Strong dedication to maintaining safety, hygiene, and quality control standards.
• Physically capable of executing manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work flexible shifts within a seven-day rotating roster.
