Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our Project Engineering Team remotely. In this role, you will collaborate with a global team of professionals delivering innovative collection software and exceptional client service worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Delivery and Customer Success teams to implement enhancements and improvements in the product.
Engage in all phases of product module development including analysis, design, coding, testing, and review.
Execute technical assignments under the mentorship of senior engineers.
Support troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software issues efficiently.
Adopt best practices in coding standards and adhere to product architecture guidelines.
Contribute actively to project delivery and pursue continuous technical growth.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or Engineering.
Basic understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL through academic projects or coursework.
Familiarity with Database Development concepts in systems like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
A strong eagerness to learn and expand technical capabilities.
High attention to detail with a client-centric approach.
Ability and willingness to operate effectively within a team environment.
Proficient communication and writing skills in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
Capability to meet deadlines and deliver assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge of ETL processes.
Exposure to server-side programming languages such as .NET and Java.
Understanding of web technologies and protocols including XML, JSON, HTTP, and TCP/IP.
Foundational skills in JavaScript and client-side scripting.
Experience with JIRA and Bitbucket tools.
Some DBA skills.
Knowledge of web servers, particularly IIS.
Prior internship or academic project experience in software development.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 20% annually based on project needs.
