Junior Data Analyst

Role Overview

Insight Global is hiring a Junior Data Analyst to support the Business Management function for the B2B portfolio of one of Canada’s major banks. The position gives you exposure to a wide mix of business work, including large-volume data analysis, financial and resource reporting, and preparation of materials for senior leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Work with large data sets to uncover trends, inconsistencies, risks, and business insights.
• Support analysis activities across multiple data sources and ensure outputs are accurate and useful.
• Prepare financial and resource-related reports for internal stakeholders and executive audiences.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations and presentation-ready deliverables.
• Operate with limited supervision, take initiative, and manage tasks and priorities independently.

Required Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate brings 0 to 1 year of experience in a similar role and is comfortable handling data-intensive work. Strong analytical thinking, numerical ability, and problem-solving are essential. You should be experienced in validating and analyzing large datasets, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, and confident using PowerPoint and Power BI. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are needed to present findings clearly. Accuracy, attention to detail, business understanding, and the ability to work independently are also important. A willingness to learn new tools, systems, and business processes is expected.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Business Analytics, or Commerce is required. A post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is considered an advantage.
