Role Overview
As an HR Generalist, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, handling client projects and internal human resource operations. Successful candidates are highly organized, proactive, adaptable to swiftly engage in new assignments, and focused on creating effective solutions. This is a full-time role conducted entirely remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer US and international payroll operations, including routine payroll runs, special payments, verifying payroll invoices for accuracy, and managing payroll tax registrations with relevant state agencies in the US.
- Orchestrate onboarding for new hires, managing offer documentation, background verifications, I-9 compliance, system access provisioning, and administrative enrollments.
- Support employment separation processes by handling termination agreements, COBRA administration, and final wage disbursements.
- Lead the deployment of professional employer organization (PEO) and payroll solutions along with benefits program management.
- Serve as a go-to resource for queries related to administrative functions and employee benefits.
- Compile and submit reports and data to government entities as required.
- Oversee Workers' Compensation and Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) policies, including renewals.
- Create and revise employee handbook materials, focusing on policies for paid time off and sick leave.
- Maintain and update organizational charts to reflect current structures.
- Prepare agendas for internal team meetings.
- Review and validate employee timesheets.
- Manage client records and documentation.
- Conduct employment verification processes.
- Assist in drafting correspondence as needed.
- Undertake special projects upon request.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience in human resources, with a preference for candidates who have worked with startup organizations.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of human resources principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Expertise in managing time effectively and meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, HRIS and payroll platforms, and familiarity with PEO frameworks.
- SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
