About the role
The Joint Operations Logistics Department (JOLD) runs the Integrated Logistic Hub, overseeing operational supplies and their distribution to the Operations Departments/Divisions. It also coordinates operational support across Pillars, Groups and Divisions during incidents, crises and national emergency planning to help ensure mission success. JOLD carries out this work through two teams: the Integrated Logistics Branch and the Emergency Logistic Planning Branch.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development of strategies that keep NEA prepared for its assigned responsibilities during normal operations and national emergencies.
- Contribute to the creation, review and rollout of the department’s emergency plans and related operating procedures.
- Help plan, run and coordinate internal exercises that test and validate the plans.
- Maintain and update information and data needed for emergency operational planning, where required.
What we are looking for
- 1 to 2 years of experience in emergency planning, logistics, administration, or a related area involving planning and writing.
- Knowledge of business continuity planning will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation abilities.
- Comfortable with planning work and applying analytical thinking.
- Able to turn ideas into clear, well-structured written material and organise information logically.
- Careful, accurate and detail-oriented.
- Well-organised and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Mature, self-reliant and resourceful.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to improve continuously.
- Prepared to work weekends and beyond normal office hours when needed.
